Overview:
Cumming Group provided cost management services for the construction of Prime Data Centers’ new hyperscale data center in Vernon, California. This state-of-the-art facility, which will offer 33 megawatts of critical capacity, is an essential addition to the expanding data infrastructure in the Los Angeles area. Cumming Group’s role includes full cost management to ensure Prime Data Centers maintains full visibility over costs at every stage, helping prevent overspending while driving project efficiency. Initial service included an independent review of the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP). Upon award of the GMP, Cumming Group has been providing pay application review, ensuring that payments to contractors are accurate and aligned with the work completed. Cumming Group also manages change orders, carefully assessing and documenting any adjustments to the scope of work to avoid cost overruns. Additionally, Cumming Group is providing regular cost reporting to track expenditures and maintain financial control throughout the project. The general contractor for the project is Clune Construction, with HKS serving as the project architect.
